Hi Guys,
Took this 'really' early hours in the morning and didnt even complete my expo run. started at 4:32am + 7 x 7 minutes last week. By the eighth frame, was already blue. One of my fav planetaries out there with a beautiful star in the middle.
Hi Res here:

A very clear image Eric. That object is hard to see with my 12", especially the top left part.

Interesting nebula that I had not seen before. You can just start to make out some of the extended ejecta visible here in a very deep shot: http://www.martinpughastrophotography.id.a u/Nebulae/NGC6164_6165.htm

Good work there, I was going to say you must have gone close to dawn to get that, its still rising when twilight starts I imagine.

Thanks Glen. I guess the central bright star probably makes the neb hard to see in the 12".
Thanks for the image. never knew there were faint nebs floating around it. might have to try a deeper shot to capture those in.
Thanks mate.

Thanks Robin, Matty and Fred.
Heres a reprocessed one. Ive noticed there are more inner details behind the stars with this one than the first:

Been off line for a few days just catching up. Terrific Eric. The reprocessed one looks great. Seen this one before and looks like a lolly in a wrapper :)
