Hi guys,

If you're wondering, 8P is still around mag 7.0 - 7.5, and is about 5-8' in dia, still a good photo and bino object if you haven't already tried!

Agreed. Back on the 18th Feb I took some more shots of this comet and was surprised how bright it still was. I've just got around to uploading a stack from that night: http://content.rogergroom.com/cms/000823.jpg

15 x 60 seconds. More details here:

You're right - I'd sort of forgotten about it but after reading your post I went on to the roof, and it was still remarkably bright... thanks for the heads-up

Nice pics Roger! It still shows a faint tail, athought the tail is not visible visually in my 10" but there is a slight extension of the coma!
Nice to see!

Thanks!

We looked at Tuttle with Kevin Dixon's 16" from Leyburn last Friday night.
Kevin thought there was a slight tail, but I wasn't sure.

Hi Glen, there is certainly an extension of the coma, a 16" would best show an ion tail if any at all, smaller apertures may not pick it up visually though!
It is very small....

Cheers!
