Sunrise this morning

We've had a lot of great sunrise and sunsets lately. I've photographed many but not been getting them further than the CF card in the camera!

Here's one from this morning. Stunning. Even splattering across the whole sky, just like the Earth resided within a nebula.

nice capture, did they change colour as the sun rose?

Yeah it did, but I think I caught it just at the half way mark, so missed a lot of the colour change :(

I got out of bed and thought "the hallway isn't usually that colour!" ... grab camera.. run outside... "wow!"

I've taken to doing timelaps video's of sunsets/sunrises/storms when they're good, but didn't for this one, and am not sure how I can provide them for viewing on the web - I can't have that much bandwidth consumed on my normal website. :shrug:

That's a beautiful shot, Roger - well done. Today's Perth sunrise was an exceptionally fine display of colour and texture, and covered most of the sky from my suburban viewpoint. I was so gobsmacked by the sight, that I didn't even think of dashing inside for the camera!

A beautiful photo Roger. The cloud patterns and colours remind me of the golden yellow curtains in the older big screen cinemas!

that's a fantastic sunrise!!! i always seem to be having to go off to work whenever we have a fantastic sunrise here in brisbane. the weekend sunrises, just never quite match up!

I know what you mean, pretty much always the way for me :doh: And even in situations like this I think "why aren't I driving to somewhere more scenic to photograph this! rather than just walking out the front of my house" :(

But hey, get what you can when you can... can't do everything when we need to work to pay for our hobbies ;)
