More Colours of The Moon

Hello There.I had another go last night.Canon 350D attached to ED80mm Refractor .I used an eyepeice projection adapter with the lens part of the 2x barlow secured inside , that gave me a bigger image.this time I got the whole of the moon in the field of view.I shot in RAW at ISO-100.I experimented with them in camera RAW. Then converted them to tiff to open in Photoshop.these are the results.reguard's Tony.

The first image is my favourite.

It would look lovely in a frame as a change to the normal black and white shots.

I would love one on my office wall .:D

They are certainly striking colours, Tony.

What did you do to bring out the colours? It looks like a bit more than simply bumping up the saturation...

Hello Type in a google search "Color of the Moon "and the Webpage will cum up it show examples of color saturation. plus it shows Photo shop instrustions on how to do it .ASs you bang up the saturation you destroy the luminance.So you make a copy of the saturated image . then desaturate the backgroud one then open the box up and click luminance.Then go to the color image and do a gaussian Blur.then flatten the image.remember you can do tweaks to them contrast- curves etc. before you jam them together. when spelling Color in Google search spellit as COLOR.. I played around with it on the weekend and I am happy with the results I'm Getting.To get the best results Shoot in Raw experiment with processing in camera Raw. then open it as a TIFF file in Photoshop. and give it more saturation .If you shoot in JPG I don't think you'll get as gooder result.Reguard's Tony
