First novice afocal moon image

New 8" scope. 25mm EP. Thought I'd have a go at an afocal shot.
Please dont laugh :P, thought it wasnt bad for my first shot; no editing.

Not bad at all for a first shot afocal. It looks like the seeing must have been decent. I don't even see any dust on your eyepiece :)

You may want to lower the exposure by a stop or two to keep it from getting burnt out in the brighter regions, but for the most part the terminator and maria turned out quite well.

Was just a quick sequential shot exposure(.5s) holding the Olympus Digi Cam over the 25mm EP.

Not bad a result I thought for such simple thing to do. :P
