Hi All,

Captured after a boozy night last night, when I got home at 2am.

Meade 10"RCX, Toucam for the colour, DMK for luminance. Don't know whether I had the 2x or 3x telecompressor in.

The Blue channel seems very blurry compared to the others when I split the channels in PS, any ideas anyone?

Hi Stuart, nice image.

Yes, it's normal for the blue channel to be the worst, due to the atmosphere scattering blue light.

I have a lot of trouble with Blue as well. Splitting into separate RGB channels prior to stacking as described in Mike's article http://www.iceinspace.com.au/index.php?id=63,306,0,0,1,0 helps a lot as you can apply different processing to the blue channel.

Next time, I'm going to try shooting a blue channel with a blue filter immediately after taking my main colour video. I guess I'm wondering if I focus on just the blue if I will get a better blue channel.
