Pretty good image there Scott – hand guided too! I reckon I can make out the components E & F and also evidence of G (or I?) and H.
This is a fascinating region.

Thanks all
The 2 faint trapizeum stars are there but have been swamped by the brighter ones.
Yes its definately easier hand guiding by using the q guider to put a guidestar on the monitor rather then looking directly. The off axis guider shows them to be very comatic, long slivers not points and blowing it up big on the monitor makes guiding easier. An autoguider may not work anyway as guider software has trouble making out the "centroid" of such comatic stars. On Guidemaster for example the crosshairs wander round a bit, but the "human guider, me, guides off one end of the comatic star, keeping it stationary next to the cursor

Nice work Scott always cool trying for detail in that region
I would have thought you could go unguided at just 30sec..? then just pick the best ones to sum?
That's what I did here:
All 60sec subs with 12" LX200 (fork mount) FL = 3000mm:

With 60sec unguided subs and at 3050mm FL, I found only about 2/3 of subs were usable with the Meade, so 60sec was all I was prepared to use so not to waste my time.

Mike - at that stage was your LX in Polar or AltAz mode?

LOL! I took it for granted that you did - but still wasn't positive.
I thought that I'd get to the point where I'd have mine on a pier some day. Looks like I'm now thinking of selling it and getting an FSQ or TOA.
