Managed to get some good data before the cloud formed at 0140HR. Could have gone far deeper.

Large Image 1.7MB

Details
Canon 5DH, 100ED with AP FR/FF. Hutech LPR filter. seven doublings of exposure from 30s at an ISO of 100 to 4 min at an ISO of 800,five exposures for each level. The fridge was used and the temperature inside was -2.7 C. ICNR on.

Images plus for conversion from RAW to TIFFand correction for flats. RegiStar for stacking and alignment. EasyHDR used to produce final image.

This is the first image where there is almost no vignetting with the 100ED. The fridge really keeps any sign of noise to a very low level. It will be even better in winter. To bad cloud stopped deeper data.

Gee, very nice Bert. I like the subtle colour variations in that chunk of nebula. Scott

A very nice image Bert, lots of lovely detail and the reds and their hues are quite stunning.
