hi folks,

this rarely imaged planetary nebula is located in taurus and it is not really bright. I imaged it with 2 different CCDs:

luminance: 9" tmb apo f/18 using a 2" 2* powermate
2 hours exp time -- 10 min subframes

color: f/9 prime focus; 10 min subframes.

seeing and transparency were both very good!

Very interesting multiple levels in the nebulosity. Your guiding must be exceptional for two hours at f/18.

Dietz that is a very clear image.
This object is hard to see visually because the central star is fairly bright (mag 9.5). The PNe (mag 10.9, 136" diam) is best seen with a filter.

Gorgeous!! You brought out the delicate beauty & colour perfectly. Impressive resolution too ... @ f18?!! :prey2: (You must have the hands of a surgeon!! ;)).

Cheers, Marcus

Fabulous image. Clearest I've seen of this object. I have attached a colourised version made with three different images using CDS's Aladin Version 4 - at least as a comparison.
I have attached some information on this planetary for you, giving some information on the visual nature of this planetary. This might be useful alongside your attachment image.

Best Wishes.
