Hi Guys, some of you may have seen the post where i was trying to sense of the issues i had with combining and aligning these files of the Rosette, while i was still out in the observatory.

It was very strange, but now that i have reprocessed then inside, all is well again, I think.

So please have a look at the Rosette Nebula, taken last night through the Tak 106 and Canon 5D, all on the G11, and auto guided with PHD through the WO 80mm FD.

I took 10 exposures at 6 minutes each at 500 ISO, processed in Image Plus, with darks and flats, and touched up with levels in PS2.

Please comment, I need all the help I can get.

Leon

Hi Leon,
Did see the post where you had troubles but had no idea as to how to help.
Seems you have it sorted now, cause this image is very pleasing to the eye.
Only thing i'd suggest is to crop it to centre the Neb. To me it's a great capture.
Cheers,
Duncan:thumbsup:

I would be happy if my Rosette looked like that..

Well done Leon, everything looks nice and sharp and the colours look very natural as well.

A fine job.

Thank you guys for your kind comments, and Duncan, I know what you are saying about the object being off center, but I actually do that on purpose, I personally like the look of something being a little off center, rather than smack bang in the middle.

Thanks you for your response though. ;)

Leon

Thanks Doug, well lets say the focus is not an issue anymore, and the processing, well, I'm getting there, certainly better than 6 months ago.

Thank you for your encouragement.
