Incredible stuff Stephen! :thumbsup: Thanks for posting. Really interesting to me as I've been trying to image a less than one day old moon for a couple of years now. Always frustrated by first the limited opportunities you get in a year (timing, declination), then poor observing site (now fixed!) and finally the clouds that always seem to gather on the horizon right at THAT time :(. Anyway, I live in hope...:D August is the next feasible shot for me (unless I go infra-red :lol: !

It is impressive.
The technique even allows limb detection at age zero.
Who will be the first to image a New Moon?
