I imagine I'm not the first to comment, but isn't it upside down wrt our hemisphere here... it is an Oz-based forum afterall  ..as welcome as those from "up over" undoubtedly are, I'm sure a lil' deference on their part to our "eccentric" world(moon)view would be no more of a stretch than the fact that the forum dates follow the more rational day-month-year format ;)
whatya reckon iceman? do-able?

Struth mate, I don't mind dancing with you but when you start pinching my ideas about what's really arse-up, well!?! - I agitated for Left Ascension (think about that Russ!) and positive Declination back before you even stole those noccies from K-Mart mate!
And this is on top of reading your intro spiel the other night where I reckon you pinched half me own upbringing and outlook/philosophies!!!
Regards, Darryl.

Hey Darryl ..are you stalkin' me? :P No.. don't answer that.. enuff innuendo.. you're crackin' me up!
I know I'm not the "brightest" (somewhere between mag+14 and a blackhole?) ..but could you tell me what this "distance" is in poster's stats? whatever it is, I apparently don't have it... Cheers, Russ.

Russ,
If you go into your porfile you can input your coordinates of where you live.
The distance read out lets you know how far away a user is from you. Just
incase you want to abuse them I guess.

You're not the first, and you won't be the last, to bring this up :)
The latest thread on this was discussed here (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=23601).
Simple explanation - it's a representation of the current phase, not meant to be a Starry Night Pro accurate view as if you stepped outside and looked up.

So that's what Distance means:D. So you learn about geography while reading about astronomy? That is neat.
I am also wondering if I can put these moon & sun things on my own website?
