Nice crisp images, Bazz. Good detail. Better than my first shots. :D L.

Excellent images Bazz! Very sharp! What eyepiece did you use?
They look a little oversmoothed - i'm not sure if the camera has too much noise reduction or if you ran the images through neatimage. But they are very nice detailed shots.
Have you read the article I wrote "Astrophotography with a Dob"?

thks guys, the eyepiece i use is a williams optics DCL28 screws straight into the cp4500.As to the camera settings iceman i had only had the camera a short time and it was on auto with flash. My dob has a metal tube and uses magnets for balance and with the camera it over balances so i jam a foldup chair under the front and let the moon drift by and take the shot  .i'm going to get more magnets one day.i use photo shop for sharpening and ive found with the moon if you add just a bit of brightness you get rid of that pixel artifact type stuff.i'm :ashamed: just about to read your article iceman ,i also use a celestron 2x barlow but i don't think i used it on those shots.
