I agree with Paul, coffee smells nice but I don't like it. I prefer a hot choc!
Coffee rocks, but unfortunately I have only found one public place away from home where I like it black. So away from home I order cappucinos.
At home I grind the beans from the coffee bean shop in our coffee grinder and then make a small, strong, black and sweet coffee in the espresso machine. Yum yum yum.
For some reason caffes just make crap coffee. I don't know why it's so crap. I'm sure that's why a lot of people say they don't like the taste of coffee. McDonalds 8 hour old brewed coffee tastes better than most espressos.
In case you're wondering, the good place I was refering to is a middle eastern bakery. The Lebanese coffee (which seems to be identical to the Turkish method) there is usually very nice.
BTW, I think instant coffee is dog's bollocks. I only drink it when I'm at work, I have run out of plunger coffee and I really need a caffeine hit (proper sleep or more exciting work would remove this need).
When I had my first stint I didn't mind black instant too much. But after a week or so the aroma started reminding me of urine and the taste was getting to me.

Tony you need to try some Merlo coffee from our cafe`next time your up.
I am real fussy with fresh coffee and find we get people who will go right out of there way from the highway if they know there is Merlo coffee on hand.
Real coffe is like fine wine and need to be made the right way or it is bitter .
I had to do a coffee making coarse before we used it in the cafe and it is a real art form to make properly .
It was after all the coffe used by the Australian guy that won the world cappacino compitition last year.
You can get it in Fortitude Valley and it is roasted fresh each day.
Drop in to Merlo and have a taste test you won't be disapointed.
Mark
2-4 cups a day :)
coffee is my friend but the effects of caffine seem not to do anything for me.

I'm more a hot chocolate man myself but a well brewed coffee hits the spot when all else fails.

Of course a good cup of "joe" is an essential part of every day.
I have however bent to the desire of my lovely wife to limit my consumption to 2 cups or less...
I am proud that I am able to keep this promise...however, I have not told her the "size" of my cup...
My giant mug is sized to approximately 2.5 "standard" cups...
For many years I drank only black (truckstop/diner) coffee but over the last few years I have been moving to adding a bit of sugar and milk/cream.
Either way the day can't start to I have my coffee

Mhhh, coffe, yumyum. One cup with 2 or 3 teaspoons of sugar. Almost heaven (for me atleast :) ):2thumbs:. Besides, during my observations with the scope, the only thing I drink is coffee. Don't really know why, it's like that since my first observation.

A good strong cuppa is all I need to get going in the morning...Or perhaps 2 or 3 after a late night out at the casino....like last night.... :rockband:
My head hurts...

I like my coffee. Instant. I agree it is very hard (impossible) to find a nice cuppa at restaurants, shops etc so I stick to Muggaccino's when I am out. I enjoy the occasional cup of tea too. I haven't touched alcohol in 21 years, so I need something.

OKaaaay Tony,
Didn't realise you were Tee Total.
How are the rellies going to get on then? Those poms just love going to the pub and smoking, I know, I was that man...lol
There was nothing better than to walk into a Yorkshire pub filled with smoke, drink pint after pint of real beer, play darts then come home, on the way buy some real fish and chips or a curry. Or make bacon sangers instead.
If you guy's want a real hobby, make your own sausages, you will never buy them again.
The day is for work, the afternoon is for making sausages, the night is for star gazing.
Or when I'm on night shift....you can work it out....
Email me if you want to make some, I will send you the recipe's of some great snags.
Mike
