Supposedly he was found dead in New York. Allegedly a drug overdose, although nothing is sure.
I was looking forward to seeing him as the Joker in the next Batman movie.

what a LOSER. everything to live for, baby girl, family, my sympathy goes to them. l am so sick of people showing sympathy for these so called celebrities, all the money and opportunities they have and if it turns out to be drugs, you idiot. to get all this in perspective a car crash in Vic yesterday killed an 18 month old baby and her 3 year old brother, l know where my thoughts and sympathies are.

Agreed. However, it's not certain whether this was accidental or deliberate. I believe he was taking sleeping pills to help get to sleep due to work commitments...but that's just 2nd hand news.

Let's wait and see. Mention of pneumonia complications on the news just passed. All speculation at present.

All of us have our own problems, and I dare say that the average Joe on average money will have many more problems than this Ledger bloke just trying to survive.
Sorry - no sympathy from me unless it proves to be a genuine affliction of some kind other than addiction. Let's see what happens to the pneumonia story.
Not good news thats for sure, but on the other hand if you have that much money why is there this need to overload yourself to the point where you need pills to rest.

I just heard about this on the news.
It's sad. His little daughter will never know her Dad.
I didn't mind his movies either.

I think its really sad anybody dying in their prime for whatever reason or whover they are, so I offer my sympathy. They all have friends/Mums and Dads and a Teddy tucked away in the wardrobe...
What ever the reason, my thoughts are with the ones left behind.

Well... if he was taking Stilnox to get some sleep, I can understand that. Busy schedules, etc.
Stilnox is apparently a pretty dangerous thing to take if you are suffering from any respiratory ailment. So.. maybe we judge too quickly - I hope so.
I'm with you, Mark.
And I think we should wait until the result of the autopsy is in.
I've been a little irritated at how quickly people assumed he'd deliberately overdosed, in the absence of thorough evidence.
But I guess it's human nature to make assumptions and want to have it all worked out before breakfast is finished:shrug:

You are the only loser, reacting to sensationalist journalism. Have a little compassion, get off your high horse, show some intelligence.
The man is not yet cold, and you alone have determined the cause of death and are acting as judge and jury.
Psychic coroner are you?
People like you make me sick.
There is no place for you in this forum.
Hiding behind one tragedy to attack another, you are nothing but an ignorant gutless coward.
Ever consider that the poor woman involved in the accident that you cite may have been drug affected?
People like you are nothing but parasites. I bet youre drooling in anticipation of a toxicology report that finds something out of the ordinary.
You living your miserable little life, sad, ashamed, so perfect, resorting to cheap shots in anonymous forums. Sweating on the misfortunes of others so you can get off on misery.
Pathetic. I pity your poor mother for raising someone that turned out to be such a social failure.
Gimme your address and we can have a nice one on one chat.

Being a star doesn't make people less human. If it was deliberate I'm sure he had his reasons and if not it's another tragic loss.
We only get one go at this life and when I hear about someones ending it makes me feel sorrow and loss. Gazz

I am with Mickkk on this one,
People calling dead people losers and such are only lowering themselves to the gutter. Let the poor family mourn their loss in private without going around saying he is a loser or such. It does not matter how he died as his poor family and friends will be going through an unimaginable hard time at the moment. If you feel this way then show a bit of maturity a keep these sort of comments to your self!!! Trust me I know first hand as I went through this recently.
Matt.

It was on the news this afternoon that they will not be 100% sure of cause of death for up to 2 weeks.

I really have to agree with this.
Regardless,of who,or how well known, they are,
they still have Family,
that will be doing it very hard at this time.
Exactly, just as hard,as any one of OUR Families.
If this sad thing happened to anyone of us,
OR ours.
You Just Never Know.
It's been ruled an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.:)
A massive shame and easy to do.
