Hello,

I'm 'sort of' new to IIS (actually, a lurker coming out of the woodwork...:)) and I would like to introduce myself.

I am not new to astronomy - been around for thirty-odd years, often in places where there were no other astronomers or clubs or the like, so I'm quite happy to have found a group of like-minded people!

hi Mike,

Over the last year or so I have not been able to go to any new moon meets since my job involves frequent travelling overseas - and I'm yet to master the art of planning trips in between new moons rather than during them...

I'm right at the southern end of the F3, so the Mangrove Pony Club is no more than a 50 mins. drive for me. My dark-site-close-to-home has always been Mogo Creek, or sometimes even Finchley (W of Laguna; darker still, but the Yango track is rather bumpy...)

Anyway, if I happen to be around next time there is a Pony Club meet I will be quite keen to pop in and meet up with the IIS gang F2F!
