Hi Folks,:)
Here is my latest effort of the lovely Rosette neb taken on last Saturday night.
Image is 12 x 10 min @ iso 400 with canon 300D and 6" newtonian.
My collimation got way out somehow? was good the night before...oh well! probably jarred the bugger while swapping scopes!:P Didn`t get much sleep then!

Image has been cropped to remove the worst of the coma in the corners but I am still happy with the results.
Autoguiding went quiet smooth for 10 min subs with very little flexure showing which are as long as I have done subs before.
Anyways all comments are most welcome....
As well as color balance!!:)
cheers Gary

Seems a nice image to me.:)
Well framed, nice colour and some bok's, whats wrong with that?
Collimation can be painfull, it only has to be out a smidge and it shows up.
Good one.

Am i allowed to say... nice image.... cos it is. I like the texture of the nebula looks full of Ha light, nice density, All in all i like it, i havent done much beyond 6 min exposures, maybee it might help, could also be the number of exposures too (2 hrs). Oh and the colorbalance looks good too:)

Yep I cannot fault it at all :)
get yourself a Baader MPCC coma corrector, they dont reduce coma, they eliminate it totally, you'd be able to show undropped images with stars to the edges as sharp as in the middle

You done a nice job on this one Gary, there plenty of detail and those dark lanes look great against the red backdrop.

Cheers

Wow that's really up close and personal :)

A nice muted tone to the image but still retains very sharp detail. Terrific Gary.

Gary!

All good. Excellent density, colour ;) tracking and focus. Looks like you might have used a smoothing filter in processing and that has taken a little of the snap out of the image, but it's often the case of dealers choice in how you control noise.

It would be great to see at a much larger image scale (1400 or so pixels)

A not so easy object very well captured
