Last night I tested out my EQ6 after backlash reduction (and sorting out the GoTo problem).
I wanted to pick a tough object, so I selected the Ghost of Jupiter Planetary nebula.
The Transparency was about 4/10 due to thin cloud, and the seeing was about 2/10 due to moisture and high winds! So as you can imagine, I wasn't expecting great results.
But I got a pleasant suprise!!!!!!!!
Below is Ghost of Jupiter taken in horrendous conditions:
Capture - ED80, Modded Toucam at Prime Focus, Astronomiks IR/UV filter, 10x80 seconds.
Guiding - 120mm f5 achro, standard Toucam, 0.6x FR, Guidemaster @ 1 second.
Stacked in Registax 3, processed in PhotoShop CS - no processing done, cropped in 2 stages.
