I really feel like I am flogging a dead horse with this Toucam :mad2:
This is an image I took last night of Centaurus 'A' Galaxy.
It is a stack of 25 x 3 minute exposures. I did every bit of processing I could think of and yet it still isn't anywhere near as good as I used to get the same object with less frames and less work a year ago!!!!!!!
Anyhow, here is last nights effort:
Ken if you are still using that same Toucam that you nearly froze to death, i wouldn't be complaining, good effort i say.

It's still a very pretty picture...
Never cease to amaze me how that toucam can manage this sought of work.

Yep Leon, same Toucam . . . still. The one suffering massive Amp Glow.
Here is the original stacked frames before processing and cropping:

It takes a lot of 'pushing the boundaries', but the poor thing has been pushed a bit too far methinks

Thanks Jazza. I like it too, but it just isn't as good as the camera used to work.
To be expected when you realise what I've put it through! Months of working 6 hours a night in ice, rained on several times, dropped a few times, now working in hot temps at night! I'm suprised it hasn't blown up yet
Ok, can see what you did there, just crop out the amp glow ;) good move ken
Leon

Yep, and the longer they are, the more Amp Glow I get
Yep, I finished imaging at 4am :)
A nice capture with the Toucam Ken, I think it will have to die completely before you stop using it.
The central dust lanes look very nice as well.
Cheers
