:hi:Hi, I´m considering to buy this telescope(Explorer-200 (EQ-5) ) but I have a few questions particulary for you who already own this telescope.

* Weight? No matter how many sites I´ve been to(particulary swedish sites) don´t tell the weight of this one. The weight is important because I have to be able to carry it.

* Is it suitable for astrophotographing? Ok, I know I´m kind of a beginner in astronomy but i want to be able to take like moderate pictures.

* Your comment about this telescope.

Thanks

Welcome Sandra :hi:

Is this the model?

If it is, it is a very good scope. If will be excellent for Planetary/Lunar astrophotography, and Deep Sky if the tracking is good. For longer exposure Deep Sky Astrophotography you may need Guiding, but that is a great scope to start out with.
