On the night of the 28th the seeing was reasonable for lunar imaging. This mosaic is made from 7 tiles each containing 900 frames from 2600 frames per run The full size image looks quite nice.
Anyway, this is my first mosaic and I have to say I am really happy with it, albeit I missed a few bits to make it a square.

That's a nice closeup mosaic. What camera did you use? Also what software did you use to do the mosaic?

Peter, the camera was a skynyx 2.0 and the program I used was autostitch to put the tiles together.

Nice going Paul, kind of a Lunar module window view!

When I see closeup views near the limb, it always reminds me of some of the Apollo footage. Interesting how the quality they got from just a few miles above the surface and no intervening atmosphere (except a metre or so inside the lander/command module, plus a window) was nowhere near as good as what we can get these days from a quarter million miles! Really empahasises the improvements in technology.
top moonage paul, it'd be great to see the full scale image!
