Hi guys and Gals,
Hope everyone had a great chrisy and a great new year...
Well this is my last image from 2007 taken on the 29th dec.
Luckily it was a great night with the moon and the clouds staying away just long enough to get all the exposures done.
Now I have autoguiding running I decided to drop back to iso 400 for this run of images. Everything went perfectly except my focus was a tad soft, but I am still very happy with the final result..:)
It has had only minimal processing like curves, levels, brightness/contrast and some noise removal as well as layering the shorter exposures into the 8 min ones to remove burnout etc.
Image is 8 x 8 min, 5 x 4 min, 5 x 2 min, 5 x 1 min and 5 x 30sec at 400 iso and my 6" newtonian and canon 300D
I think its one of my best attempts so far of M42 up to date..
All comments most welcome!..
Image slightly cropped for posting!
cheers Gary
