The Rosette Nebula NGC 2237 and Cluster NGC 2244.
I underestimated how dim this object is and will get more frames next time however l am happy with what l got.
Lots of heat haze and wind for the first half of the images.
12 x 5 min with Canon 400D @ iso 400 and Baader UHC-S filter
imaged with ED 100 @ f/5.6
hand guide through LX200 @ f/10

What a great way to start the new year Mick. Fantastic

This is a difficult one to capture. In the conditions we've had you've done really well you should be really happy with it

Look forward to seeing the next try in better conditions

A fine effort Mick, I love those dust lanes running through it. As you say a few more images will help to enhance it even more.

Cheers
