My year in Australia is up, and it's time to sell the car we bought last February. It had ~85K km, now has ~98K km. All service on schedule, new brakes about 7 months back, one minor wrinkle in the body (barely noticed), and no major issues with the interior. CD, AC, automatic, roof rack, etc etc.
Various sources tell me a fair market value is anywhere between 17-19K. Check out Ebay, everything comparable is 17K or higher, and that's for cars with >100K on them, sometimes a lot more.
I'm pricing it at $16500 b/c I'd like to sell it with minimal effort, and because of the one stipulation: I need the car until a day or so before we leave the country in mid Feb, otherwise I have no transportation!
I'll through in my power inverter (cig lighter to 240V AC that I actually never used) and a 2007 Melways; neither will do me any good in the US!. The car is being fully detailed (seats and carpets cleaned, etc) next week.
The registration is paid through October 2008.
It will also go up on Ebay in a few days.
Thanks!
