my very first attempt at the boy planet. seeing was.... ok i guess, but not perfect by any means. mars was lowish as it twas only about 10:30.

i almost packed up and went back in tho, but decided i couldnt waste a good night... you see my power supply was running on empty and i couldn find the charger for it cause cheryl "put it away"

anyhow here it is.

i tried stretching it a bit but it looks better as a thumbnail :)

I think you've do a great job David.
It's all about having fun.

Never waste a good night I reckon.
I had to work to daybreak and of course the skies were teasing me. :(

It's up to you, but you could rotate the image 90 degrees counter clock to make the features you've captured a little easier to recognise.

You've captured sinus sabaeus and niliacus lacus there quite nicely:thumbsup:

Anyway. It looks good the way it is, too.

lol, forgot all the details...

8" f6 newt on a heq5. toucam 840 is the camera in question.... umm... paul rini 4x barlow plus extension tube. ummm toucam set to about 30% gain and the exposure was whatever the second slowest is (1/33? i dont know). everything else was stockers (b/c/gamma/etc). i took 900 frames at 10 frames/sec and this image is the best 700. :)
