Grabbed this earlier tonight.

Saw some clear sky and didn't care that Mars was only at 25 degrees.

Seeing not flash, but not the worst I've seen it here either:)

C9.25, DMK21AF04, 3x Barlow, quick process in R4 and some touches in PS7.

Looks very similar to the capture featured in my avatar taken weeks ago. Just a slightly different tilt and rotation, as well as increased phase.

Cheers.

And here's a 150% B-Spline from another AVI.

The seeing had an effect on the sharper detail, but it's not too bad.

Happy to have captured anything, to be completely honest:lol:

It's amazing how much detail you are able to capture Matt :)

I like it Matt. The seeing looked good here, but I was doing some DSO imaging.. I just didn't want to waste time on a 26deg alt Mars :(

I'm going to try for Saturn tomorrow morning, and Venus if it's not behind the tree yet.

Keep 'em coming!

Good work Matt,

i have been surprised with mars in that how crappy / soupy the seeing can be, but still the details seem to show up relatively ok.

I spose with Jupiter, there are lots of fine detail and less contast then the red / black of mars.

The blue channels have also been showing some detail, when I thought it would not show much at all??

Thanks guys.

I am hoping I might get another chance tonight, what with Mars' more 'interesting' features coming into view, but it's windy as all heck here this afternoon:(

Maybe it'll settle down by 10/11pm???

In the rush to capture a few Mars AVIs I keep forgetting that Saturn's up and ready for another season:doh:It's actually up quite high here in the early hours in Brisbane. It'll be at 52 degrees at 3.30am tomorrow.

Cheers.
