I thought it might never happen again, especially not tonight.

It's a beautiful night on the Central Coast.. transparency is great, seeing looks ok, a light wind and no dew.

Although the temperature is starting to drop, i expect the dew to follow soon.. Just in time for the moon to rise so that's ok :)

I know what you mean Eric. I walked outside at about 9:00 pm and it was crystal clear :eyepop: (very twinkly though) I had a great time with the 10x50 binocs for a while. Comet Holmes :jawdrop: M33 - really really clear (M31 was behind some trees :( ), M42, 46, 45, NGC253, 55, 300, 2070, 104, 2516, 3372, ....you know all the old bino favs.

A great night for a quick peek. Might have to look at getting myself a Dob for these nights I think

haha, it was a reasonably clear night out here in gatton too, well it seemed that the weather was against me while trying to polar align, literally i'd point the scope at a star and within 2 minutes clouds rolled in over that star, forcing me to find another... and another... and another, this went on and on and on, right up until the moon rose, at which time the cloud peeled back and left me with a crystal clear, if somewhat moonlight polluted sky. but you could still pick out the biggies (m42, eta carina, LMC, etc) with the naked eye. i had my eye set on a few galaxies and nebulas, but the clouds were against my finding them. a better night than hoped for.

A great night down here as well and looks like it's shaping up for another goody tonight as well.

I had a lovely clear night and took some images. No time to process them yet.
I think we need to rethink the term "seeing"
The seeing was great last night in that you could actually "see" some stars. The fact that they were twinkling lots was of minor importance.:)
