How about a get together on the Mountain for Saturday the 5th January.
I dont know about everyone else, but I am hangin for a full night of observing under a nice dark sky.
It would be great to catch up again, so pencil it into your diary, and there is to be NO EXCUSES for another get together.;)

Hi Rick,
Happy Christmas to you and your family, and all on IIS.
That would be great. We will talk about dew heaters, but first I have to see if the ones I made actually do work.
If we ever get a clear night that is....
See ya soon.
Geoff.

I'm in Bankstown and I'm DESPERATE for a clear dark sky. However the weather for Gosford says it will be raining this weekend. If not is it possible for an extra to tag along and if so how do i get there?
Regards,
Alchemy

I am still awaiting the arrival of these elusive Hedgehogs.
Maybe they will be there this coming weekend, if the weather is right for the little critters....
See you all there again...
UPDATE....
The weather isn't looking good for Friday or Saturday.
I will remain optimistic though.
I am still desperate for a good long dark night.
Geoff.

Yeah, its a shame about the weather alright.
I need a rest anyway after all the festivites over the New Year.
It may be a good night to look for new 2 inch eyepieces and diagonals on the IIS web-site :D
Just dont tell my wife I want to spend more money after the Christmas credit card has had the stripe worn off it. ;)
Yeah doesn't look like it's going to clear (where's coach Owl for some positive thinking). :(
Unless you guys want to get together at the pony club for a water polo match. :P

the Owl is at Upper Orara (Coffs Harbour) and he can tell you it has/is been pisking down for the last three days up here
dams and creeks are flooding and the darn stuff won't stop falling up here
the only thing i'm positive about is that it ain't over yet and its moving down the coast

My parents live at Bellingen (near Coffs) and they have said how much rain they've had!
Sounds like it's bucketting down up there.
You can drive back now Geoff, and catch it twice.
