Hi All,
Great site! :thumbsup: For a long time now I've been reading the articles and forum and have found it a great help.
This year, after a long, long break, I have rediscovered astronomy again.
I've enjoyed spectacular views through my Bintel 6" Newt and for Christmas this year my good wife has purchased a Bintel 10" Dob for our viewing pleasure.
Now to the questions.
My first scope, which I got as a youngster, is a KD brand 60mm refractor telescope. It is made in Japan and was bought during the 1980's. Was this brand any good? It's pleased me so far, and I'm happy I've hung onto it.
My 10x50 bino's, which I inherited, are Klarten brand. Klarten is German for 'clarified', however, I have no idea where they were made. Can anyone tell me anything about this brand?
Searching the Internet has not revealed anything about the two brands.
