Skywatcher 120mm F5 achromat refractor

Has anyone used one of these scopes to image through ?
What is the weight of the OTA?:rolleyes:

I have used one for some imaging......I like it as a rich field scope for visuals {its primary purpose :)} although even moderate stars exhibit strong colour fringing, when you hook up a DSLR this is enhanced further. I don't know how effective filters/field flatteners would be with the scope but one of the moderately priced ED scopes are a better option. The OTA weighs roughly 5-6kg. Joe i have one of those.
It is about 4.5Kg. 600mm focal lenght.
Imaging is fine trough these scopes if you dont mind a blue halo around the bright stars (see below).
This is done with an dsi c so not the best.

I would like to see any images taken through this scope or 150mm F5 using a DSLR .

So if anyone has please share your images.

I have a 102mm F5 (not quite the same as 120mm)and attached is my image taken with 350D and 102mm F5 10mins exposure at 800 iso (quality reduced due to size restrictions).:)

I have imaged through my 120mm f5 Achro as well, but only with the Toucam. Not with a DSLR.

Don't know about the shorty f/5, but I had a 120mm f/8 achro that I took just one photo through. It had mild fringing - nothing that a MV filter couldn't handle within its limitations. The optics were pretty sharp, which was a bonus. The following photo is the one I took of the moon.

Photoshop - quick unsharp mask and conversion to B&W in SC3.

Not a bad scope for the money.
