Hello All,
Over the last several months IceInSpace members have contacted me regarding their needs for various adaptor and equipment for their mounts.
I would like to thank all these members and IceInSpace for their support and for helping to spread the word and support small Australia businesses making astronomy based products.
Some have stated that they never would have found me if not for the IceInSpace links and I appologise for not being more visible.
The reason for this is,
1. I have only been publicly active since I launched my web site at the beginning of 2007.
2. I do not advertise (yet) in the magazines in order to keep my costs and prices as low as possible.
If anyone is interested in what I make and sell please visit my web site at http://starstuff.com.au
I noticed that there has been a good deal of discussion regarding the ImagingSource DMK/DBK series astronomy cameras.
I would just like to mention that I am a certified dealer of these cameras and keep them in stock.
Thank you all for your interest and thank you IceInSpace.
Have a very happy and safe Christmas and holiday season.
Clear skies.
Luke.

Hi Luke,
I was only linked to your site a few weeks ago and am very impressed with your products
I hope the moderators don't delete your above post as advertising (well, It probably is), as it is nice to see and talk to the proprietor and know a little more about who we would be dealing with :)
I will have to add your link to the 'Austrailan Astronomy' site on the 'Equipment' (http://australian-astronomy.bravehost.com/equipment.html) page'
(done :) )
Have a great Christmas, and thankyou for setting up an Aussie 'accessories' supply.

Hello All,
I'm sorry I made a mistake in the web address (very emberrased) in my earlier message.
It should have been http://www.starstuff.com.au.
Cheers,
Luke.

StarStuff has been in the IceInSpace Links (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/index.php?links) page for a few months now.
Great set of products on offer.

Hi Ken,
Thanks for your kind comments.
I was concerned that it may be a bit close to being advertising. I guess that bit about the ImagingSource cameras was a bit but it was also intended to provide general information.
I overstepped that mark then I apologise.
Clear skies (not many here in Vic).
Luke.

well I got my new eq6 adjusters and they are great, a far cry from the original ones and easy to fit and use. my only concern is when you have multiple weights the front adjuster is very close to the weights and difficult to use, but then you only seldom use that part .
I recommend the product I have bought, they are great. So too is the pier I got from Steve Bain - I may even get that installed for a Christmas present to myself (only had it 2 years LOL I will need 10 bags of premix concrete mix LOL for the base of the pier to connect to in the yard, hope Santa can deliver that). I support Aussie manufacturers who have the right product and good quality and I had no idea Luke existed until ken corrupted me, its all your fault Ken!!

Hi Houghy,
I know the feeling.
I'm in the process (for the last 6 months) of making (well trying to) my own pier.
Four 1.5 metre lengths of 100mm square 5mm thick steel tube to be bolted together into one 200mm square pier and welded onto 12mm steel top and bottom plates.
Only problem, I've never welded anything in my life. However I am a glutton for punishment and willing to try almost anything (making and astronomy related :0) ...)
Good luck with yours.
Luke.

Luke, Steve Bain made my Pier and had it delivered to me within a week, and I have waited a loooong time to try and getit on the ground. It is made out of Aluminium and the finish and quality of build is fantastic, just need to mount it in a permanent location (approval from the minister for work is extremely hard to obtain (SWMBO) ;))

Houghy,
I don't know Steve Bain?
Any chance of a pic? Maybe I can save myself a lot of messing around. Life's too short sometimes.
Although buying one will take a lot of creative thinking. What do I tell SWAMBAO about thoes posts I've had clogging up the car port for the last 6 months? Very strong tomato stakes?
Cheers,
Luke.
