Hi all,

This is my second attempt of photographying the moon surface using the adjustable eyepiece projection adaptor + 25mm EP + 2x Barlow.

I was able to get some good sharp images of the moon surface and would like to share them with you all.

1st image - 1/5 : F11 : ISO200
2nd image - stacked image of 2 images (1/20 : F11 : ISO200)
3rd image - blue moon - 1/20 : F11 : ISO200 (the blueness was introduced by setting the white-balance to Tungsten)

Let me know your views.

Nice results, Vivek. The first one looks slightly out of focus, however the second one is nice. As for white balance, it doesn't really matter what you use on the moon. Most of the time I convert my moon images to greyscale in post-processing anyway.

If you take your shots in RAW, you can adjust the white balance afterwards as well.

You probably don't need to go as slow as F11 either.. try f/5 or f/6. You're basically focusing at infinity anyway, so there's no depth-of-field when imaging the moon.

Thanks mike.

Yeah I forgot to shoot in RAW so just had jpegs. I could have changed the WB in lightroom but i thought the blueness was quiet cool so left the image as it is.

Will certainly try the f/5 or f/6 setting next time I shoot.
