Gday grabbed a few runs on Mars last night around 2.30-4.00 after finishing work :P nice cold conditons, no wind and okay seeing. Attached image is the result of one of the last AVIs captured when the seeing seemed to improve.

Nice result, Stuart! How do find processing DBK avi's? Do you split them as per the ToUcam?

:thumbsup:Thanks fellas.....Mike definitely always use RGB split if a AVI looks half decent :) With DBK capture I'm still having troubles capturing in Raw format and debayering in Registax so I have been using straight colour vid formats/codecs UYVY+UYVY and BY8/RGB24 where debayering is done through IC capture. With these two formats I get about 2500-4000 frames over 2 min, juggle exposure roughly around 1/30 and experiment with gain. There seems to be a lot more latitude with processing over the ToUcam :)

Great shot Stuart.... I'm hoping we'll have some clear weather in the next few days so I can give Mars a shot myself, been shocking cloud and rain lately. :)
Wow, very nice result Stuart, well done.
I wish my images would turn out half as decent as this.
I'm facing a steep learning curve when I'm going to venture into planetary imaging using the DMK.

:) Thanks Roger/RB, yeah the weather has been unusual for this time of the year, nights have been somewhat cool/mild with plenty of fronts moving through
