I think is my best NGC253 so far.

Dunno, coz I've taken so many and in different ways that I've lost track, but this one seems to be the best so far.

Definitely not the clearest, because this one was heavily cropped and very enlarged (to cut out the Toucams Amp Glow) so it has lost some of its detail, but it is the first time I've got both ends of the spiral arms to show up!

I acheived this by removing the IR/UV filter and imaging 10 x 140 seconds.

I hope you like it. I do :)

P.S. It looks better if you move waaayyyy back from your monitor, by about 2 metres

This image of the Pooter screen shows how much I had to crop! The Amp Glow is horrendous!!!!!

That's so cool Ken, I think it's your best 253 as well.

LOL if I stand 20 metres away and look at it through my nockies, it looks like I'm actually observing the real NGC253.......

Have to agree ken that is a very nice image, and yes, if you get back a bit they all look better, I do that with mine some times.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, now that I look at it again today with fresh eyes, it probably is my best 253 so far :)

Andrew, try at 100 metres

Leon, I do the same thing, but as soon as I move back I have to put my glasses on, which makes all the noise show up again

Quite nice Ken, there is some nice detail in there.

I'd be happy with a couple of star trails at the moment.

Cheers
