Very nice photo Leon. Great DOF and perspective.

Although I am not a religious person, when I have had the occasion to visit a church (weddings, funerals, etc.) they do appear to have a pleasant atmosphere of peace and spirituality that is quite refreshing, compared to the hurly burly pace of our daily lives spent achieving whatever material goals we set ourselves, or have set for us.

Cheers

Dennis

Very nice Leon! What lens did you use? It looks like a wide angle but the verticals look pretty good at the edge of frame - suggesting either a very good lens or you've done some very nice transformation work in PS.

Thanks Guys for your comments, and Dennis i agree, once you walk off the street and into the door it all changes and feels so different.

Al, this may surprise you but it was taken with a Canon IXUS 50 Digital Compact Camera, and looking at the properties of the image it was a 1/60 sec exposure, on Auto setting, with a fixed 5.8mm Lens, working at 17.4mm

The image has not been processed in any way.

That's great Leon. None of my pics of that church worked out well enough for posting!

It's a popular tourist site that's for sure! The whole inside is beautiful, in the side rooms etc.

Lovely Shot!

Churches are one of my favorite subjects to photograph, they have so much history and so many stories to tell.

I was up there snaping some a few weeks ago but didn't bother going in
