That's a ripper, Matt! I think that's your best so far.
I had a look up at Mars this morning, it sure has brightened recently.
Well done.

You've nailed that one Matt.
Thanks Mike and Paul.
Still waiting for my filter wheel to arrive from the U.S.
The wait is driving me mad, but I know it will be worth it once it arrives.
Can't wait to start putting together RGB images.

Nice image Matt, well done.
If you dont mind me asking what sort of filter wheel did you get and where did you source it from? (thinking of going that way myself)
Very nice Matt, you've captured a lot of detail in that one.

Its a real pity the gear and the skills were not as good when mars was closest to us a few years ago. this is fantastic and looks very promising for the next few months

That's a great image! Gez I'd be happy with that kind of detail, that's great!
I haven't been keeping an eye on what Mars image have been taken, but that's the best one I've seen for this 'season'.
Thanks folks.
Too true, David. Thanks and yes....it has crossed my mind more than once that there's a fair old wait between now and the next 'favourable' oppositions.
Ah well...I'll always have Saturn, Jupiter, and the Moon:)
That's very kind of you, Roger. Much appreciated.
