The Spider with the Pentax

No new data at the moment so processed this single shot taken at the end of our M42 shoot a week ago.

It suddenly clouded in that night just as we started a session on Tarantula so we only managed to get a single 300sec shot in.

So here it is ........ For a single shot we're very happy with this one :) Can't wait to gather much more data

That is a gorgeous photo of the Tarantula; the wispy tendrils and rich star clusters look quite stunning. I assume that the overall blue cast is due to the non-modified camera?

Thanks for the comment Dennis. We process the natural colour that the camera images so I guess it's the data from the Pentax

Thanks Lee yes we can't wait to stack a few more long exposures when we can get out again and see what we get out of it...........Actually we saw your post explaining Layers today on your horsehead thread and I finally worked it out :) It helped in bringing out the core on this image. We will certainly be out there gathering more exposures when we have moonless clear skies. Can't wait to see how much more detail we can get now that we are autoguiding.
