Had another go at Mars this morning, the best seeing was between 4.30 and 5am...
Image is (R+IR/2)GB, North is at the top.

Wow Bird. Was this done on the Toucam Pro mate?

Hi Anthony
Another simply wonderful image – looks very natural too. Methinks I’m going to have to get a Mars Atlas to learn about some of these features, so I can appreciate more completely the incredible detail you have managed to capture so well.
Cheers
Dennis
Thanks guys, fingers crossed for better seeing next time...
btw, what do you think of this variation, I've added in some IR from the previous capture run, so now it's IR-R-G-B-IR
cheers, Bird

Hi Anthony
Blinking the two, I slightly prefer your 2nd (IR) rendition. However, if you had posted these several weeks apart and I was unable to compare the 2, I would favour both equally in terms of how they appear and what they reveal to the viewer.
Cheers

always thoroughly enjoy your images Bird, and brilliant as usual i must say. I like the second, altho the first may be a little more natural looking, but the other seems to have more detail. and its just a speck atm! lol
onya!

Lovely image Anthony, I prefer the 2nd as well. The new filter looks like it's doing a great job.
Thanks for posting.
