Hi
Tried for this faint little thing tonight.
4x5 mins ISO 200. iv/ir filter, MPCC coma corrector. Modded 350D camera
10 inch f5.6 newtonian, off axis hand guided, fighting both a gusty seabreeze and moonlight shining down the scope, causing the uneven lighting. Comet has moved somewhat, just left of centre.

Yep, just checked the comet magnitudes page at
http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/icq/CometMags.html#2006P1
Its last estimate is 12.5 with a 1.5 arc min coma diameter. Not a Mcnaught class comet thats for sure.

A very faint and testing comet Scott. You've done a great job capturing that one.
Well done.

Is it the faint blur to the left? I'm still not too good at spotting things. :(
