Hi there

Just a quick email to let you know that Border Stargaze will officially be back in 2008.

We can confirm BSG 2008 dates as New Moon 28-31 August 2008.

We have had an overhwhelming response to the event, particularly attendees asking that we become an annual fixture on the astro event calendar.

Equally so we have had an overwhelming response from attendees and members of the public offering suggestions as to how we can best organise 2008. We thankyou all for your encouragement and support.

All suggestions have been taken seriously and we will make every effort to incorporate them into BSG 2008.
However we draw the line on a free Nagler with every registration :scared:

Key features for 2008

Four day - Four night event
Guest speakers
Hands on Astrophotography workshops
Workshops for kids
Potential savings in accommodation costs
Broader range of accommodation types (for those that just want to fill their car with telescope equipment)
If all goes to plan access to broadbandSo clear your calendar for 28-31 August 2008.

Cheers Petra

Just a quick question.
If you use a tent only for your astrophoto's and have a cabin to sleep, do you have to pay for an campsite also?

Hi there Martin

I often use a gazebo on the observing field for housing my gear if the weather turns a little ordinary, so there is no expection that you would need to pay for a camp site and cabin if you are using the tent only for astrophotography.

We are still fine tuning the accommodation, so we will keep you posted as information comes to hand.

Looking forward to see you there.

Cheers Petra
