Alan Watson is a watcher and devotee of space observatory STEREO online images
this is c&p'ed from the comets ml group
'I have been watching C/2007 F1 in the STEREO HI2a imager from late October.
There was a a CME that occurred around Oct 22 that appears to have interacted
with this comet eight days later.

Around oct 29 -31 the comet and its tail brightens as a CME front passes by.
Each image step in the anim is two hours. After the front passes it interacts
with the tail dynamically.
The comet begin to fade immediately after these interactions.
The gif image shows the tail density increase and within two steps decreased by
at least forty percent.
A second CME leaves the sun around Nov 05, heading towards the comet.
It is likely that a similar interaction to Oct 29-30 did occur.
The comet has faded to much for the HI2a imager (10-11 mag limit) to see a tail
so can't confirm it visually.
