I had a go at IC434, the Horsehead Nebula. I really had to push the processing to get a reasonable image. I guess the combination of an unmodded camera and small aperture really shows. Maybe this is one that I can add to with some more exposure.
Details:
110mm APO refractor
Canon 350D
5 x 10min exposures at 800ISO
Autoguided with Toucam and PHD
Location: Ilford, near Mudgee

That's great Geoff, I was going to target this one myself the other night but chose M42 instead. Your image gives me something to strive for.

That's a nice horsie you have been chasing around the top paddock ! Fantastic result
Wonderful widefield Geoff, you've brought out the colours very nicely along with the details.
Cheers
Certainly a nice image Geoff, it would have to be one of my favorite objects.

Yep Geoff you have done well with the 250D :D
I tried this one at Snake Valley but looking at the images I didn't continue with it, but after processing the three frames I got, I should have continued. Used the same time sequence also 3 x 10mins though ISO800. Great stuff, it really is amazing how much these little scopes can pull in under the right conditions.
Top marks for effort.
