Hi
Heres the deepest shot ive yet got of this comet. 16 mins all up. The neighbour has removed tall bushes along their side of the back fence, giving more acess to the w and sw sky lower down, so I decided to get a parting shot of Comet Leonos.
8x2 mins ISO400. uv/ir filter, mpcc coma corrector. Modded 350D
10 inch f5.6 newtonian. Hand off axis guided on a star, but images aligned on the comet, its hooking along as we can see. Image taken at around 8:50pm, crescent moon present.

Just a hint of an ion tail present now.

Lovely closeup Scott, may have lost the tail but its still a very pleasing image! that tail has certainly faded real quick the last day or so..Glad I got a image or two in.

Very nice Scott, an excellent image. The colours in this comet are fantastic.

Thanks all. It is a nice colour, no doubt ionised gas emissions. On its way out from the Sun now.
