Hi folks,
as I've seen, there are quite some Comet Holmes photographs around this board, here's a drawing I did from a small town in the Northern parts of Bavaria. This Comet was really in for a surprise, when it suddenly gained a lot of magnitudes over a really short period of time.
Something you simply shouldn't miss!

Date: October 31, 2007
Time: 6 PM CET
Place: Erbendorf
Instrument: TAL 6“ f/5
Seeing: Antoniadi II
NELM: 5m0
Bortle: VII
Constellation: Perseus
Magnification: 50x

The original drawing was done with a pencil on white paper and then processed with GIMP.

That is a fantastic rendition Sebastian almost like a real image.

A fine effort.

Hi people!
THANKS A LOT!!
I am really overwhelmed by so many positive responses!
When I read that Holmes had increased so much in brightness by the end of October, I was still waiting for a proper observing opportunity (clouds and university obligations have not been permitting a lot of time at the telescope over the last few weeks). During that time, I deliberately tried not to look at any images on the internet to prevent them from falsifying my perception. Finally, on Halloween October 31st, I caught it and when I later on compared my drawing to the many photographs, I was actually pleased to find out, how accurately I had rendered it! :)
