"Dujob"? You're starting to sound like my wife, Mike.
Great pictures everyone, well done.
I suppose that this is my motivation, to buy a digital camera and join in the fun. It gets a bit tricky to meet the deadlines with a film camera. :D
Cheers

Wow - what a fantastic voting turn out so far - are people practicing for the looming election! It's great to see all this participation, well done all those that submitted and terrific to see all this interest from voters.
Cheers

Well done David, you're the winner of the October contest. I could sense your pride and motivation in your image.
What's the subject for November?

Congratulations H0ughy – you must be a very proud dad too! Quite a varied set of entries this month, all thoroughly enjoyable. Although it was a fairly tough theme, I particularly enjoyed reading each person’s write up, explaining what motivation lay behind their submission.
Cheers
Dennis
Jeanette – I hope your observatory rises up soon!
Bobj – I trust you’ll wet a line soon!
Bazz – How did the new kitchen turn out?
RB – Did you buy the car?
Mike – Booked your trip to Africa yet?
John – You must be super fit by now!

Thanks to those who voted for me, it is appreciated. I actually voted for thunderchildobs, Rocket boy and Omaroo whose entries I thought were pretty good. This months topic made me think, so to keep the cerebral juices going the topic will be "motion".
Omaroo

Congratulations David.
I'm sorry if my musings rocked the boat a bit, but I still firmly believe that these should be anonymous. I notice that Mike has not offered to enter into the conversation, and I wish he would.
Anyways - great topic in the end, and I think that "motion" will be a cracker.

I think offering your opinion doesn’t rock the boat – it didn’t rock mine! If my posts have given you that impression Chris, then I apologise for that was not the intent.
We all have an opinion and the open sharing of them is a good thing. My opinion is just that, my particular view, based on a personal world view, which could be incomplete or even incorrect! And it certainly changes over time, so in a month’s time, I could have changed mine due to a new experience or insight, or having discovered I was plain wrong.
Cheers

Congratulations Houghy a well deserved win indeed.
As soon as I saw your entry I knew it was a great candidate to win and you had my vote.
My other two choices were Phil's (acropolite) desk photo, I can relate to that and have made a move to clean up my own, thanks Phil.
And I felt Dennis caught the theme perfectly too.
Well done to all, once again I've enjoyed all the photos and reading the write-ups.
If this were a serious photo comp then I'm sure the entrants "would rise to the occasion" and enter without comment but we're amongst friends so it's fun to read each other's thoughts and comments.
Dennis, no I didn't buy the car, not enough room for the kids and my wife.....
nothing wrong with boat rocking in any case chris... gets us all thinking of ways to improve things :)
If we all thought the same way it would be a boring old world hey. I think you will find there are plenty of other who would agree with you anyway (inclined that way myself). :)

:) Love to... I did take a shot out of the window of the plane while low flying over Tofino - should be plenty of motion blur!
It's just access to software to process, resize and upload my images. I'm not travelihg with my lappy, so I'm at the mercy of various IT dudes at each hostel... Maybe next month!
Then again, I will be home just before the end of the month... if I have anything worthwhile and I get to it in time it'll be in.
