Is it possible to arrange for a new look IceinSpace forum that is completely in black and white and looks like a boring Word technical document?
I'm sitting here at work - bored out of my mind , and keep peeking at this forum. I have been caught red handed so many times that one day they are going to say something! Even the Project manager who frequently walks past my desk, is getting suspicious. Now, if my computer screen looks like I'm doing some real work, why they may be so impressed at my dedication to my job, that they will give me a raise:D:lol:

c'mon you guru types. Surely someone can invent a little radar dish that sits on the top of you monitor, set to detect the boss/supervisor/significant other and automatically alt+tab to a backup work screen

Tell the boss not to worry as this place indicates trends, you do it for them not you ..then tell him to look at all the others in the organisation they all will be playing solitaire..

I guess I'm lucky. I'm in a single office & I have my desk facing the door. so my screen can not be seen by anyone unless they walk into my office & around behind me.
Plenty of time to flick onto a suitable screen content...:whistle:

You're lucky, Louwai, I tried turning the screen round, but we are in horrible open plan office and we all have our little pens to sit in, and anyway, the cables wouldnt stretch:(
I have a small question too - Mike, can you please change your server/IP/name or something so I can access IIS on the Defence Network??? Cheers ;)

I can only visit IIS after work thanks to an open plan office..yes as paul suggests, come on one of you clever software people invent something that will sense approaching intruders and re skin the site into Times New Roman and no graphics

We used to have fairly free and open access to the net here at work - as long as we did the work first we could browse whatever and wherever we liked within reason, especially on night shift.
Then one or 2 of our staff had to play up - one kept downloading dodgy little "trojan" games to play, another was an avid you-tube fan, etc, and once even downloaded 3 full length movies to watch - in a single 8 hour shift!
:screwy:
So the poo hit the fan about 3 months ago when the big boss got a bill for a couple of hundred bucks for "excess" downloads - and we have a "large and fast" net connection here so that was some amount of downloading!
Sure enough our net access was immediately restricted to a white list system, ie you can only access web addresses that are on the permitted list, and that's a pretty short list around here.
I approached my manager and asked for access to IceInSpace.com.au, and being a good bloke he granted it :) (he is also out I.T. manager so I had access immediately). No one else here could reach any non-work related site until just this week when open net access has been restored again.
(One of the "problems" no longer works here, they've moved overseas).
The footnote to this is that I've only found out in the last few days that several other staff have been using my IceInSpace access for weeks here, browsing the forums when I'm not here because they didn't have access to anything else interesting! :P
