Hi all
Venus is now 50% illuminated, growing in phase and shrinking in diameter - on its way to superior conjunction with the Sun.
As indicated in the Mars thread, the seeing was good and even though Venus was only 20° altitude I was able to capture probably my sharpest Venus ever (definitely my best this year). I'm still waiting for the UV filter to try and capture some cloud details :( Hopefully i'll receive it before this morning apparition is over!
Best 300/2500 frames stacked, captured with my 12" newt on EQ6, DMK21AF04, 5x powermate + Astronomik Red filter.
