After sweet talking my wife I've ordered a Sirius Observatory. After finding out if would cost me $1600 to get it to my house I've decided to go pick it up myself. It will be a long drive which I hope to break-up with stops along the way I've got a week to go there and back. Anybody care to suggest a good spot or two in Northern NSW and Southern Qld that is worth going to. Any Observing nights on at the end of the month?:help:

Shame you aren't around near the 10th of November, Cambroon will be on again, but if you are up around the Sunshine Coast at any time drop me a PM and we'll see what we can do and get you up to the Mapleton Observatory. ;)

Just out of curiosity, is Sirius Domes still in Yandina (I think that is the one in Yandina)?

Kenny you are welcome to my site and the use of my gear... 30 klms South of Tabulam more or less in the State forrest... no lights ...no grid power.

The South has no lights until Grafton 100 klms away by road and I believe it is darker than Coona..no polution..dust or light.

I live very primatively and if you can stand the culture shock you are very welcome.

Thanks for the offer Alex, I don't think I'll get that way this trip but maybe next time. In the mean time I've given you something to think about in our gravity thread.:)

I have decided to give up all other activity so I can spend all my time thinking about gravity, wont have time for anythig so will have to get a maid to do the house work... so I can think all day..some one has to do it:lol::lol::lol:

Thanks I have had a great time reading over the last couple of days on the subject but I feel such an idiot because given the time I have spent reading and searching I neve came across Le Sage etc

Have a good trip and good luck with the transporting thing...I am going up tomorow actualy.
