When adjusting the altitude while polar aligning, does the star drift north or south with the RA motor off? :shrug:

A star should always drift west with your RA motor off....

That would explain it then. Next time I'll use the whiskey to stay warm AFTER I've polar aligned. :P

Drifts west with motor off - north/south drift influenced by deviations from good polar alignment.
