The new HDR method is delivering pleasing results. The recent Eta Carina you recently posted was impressive, perhaps if anything, needed the blue channel to be increased subtly to bring back some stars. Nothing major.

This image is no exception. The Rho Ophiuchus area is not easy to process with the best of data. You've done well to portray this region in all its glory. Look forward to seeing more.

Thanks all for your comments garyh and h0ughy. I will always take your advice on board jase.

The fine tuning will come later. I am just getting a feel for how it all works with various objects and data sets.

I will explain the method in detail as I am a firm believer in sharing information. I am just checking to see if everything is as I thought. As in everything hindsight is a wonderful thing.

The Rho O. image was from 1,2,4,8,16 min exposures. So with the 12 bit A to D on the 5DH gives me theoretically 17 bits of dynamic range. Notice how Antares is not blown out but all the faint stuff is there including the residual noise from the sensor. The globs are not burnt out either. What surprised me how much dark dust was now more clearly visible with contrast detail.
